TEENS ACT FOR AIDS --IST
The International School of Tianjin is the birth-place of Teens Act for AIDS. It was founded in 2006 by Lindsay Haskell with only 4 members. In the present day we now have a thriving group of more than 15 students! We have hosted 2 successful World Aids Day Assemblies aimed at educating the IST community and 2 Successful Youth Clubs. We have also sold refreshments at a number of events from performances like Oliver© to Student Council dances.
All our proceeds go to the Chi Heng Foundation (http://www.chfaidsorphans.com/) who specializes in helping children affected by HIV/AIDS. They give them an education and provide them with medicine. With 800RMB you can get one student schooling and medical needs for a year. The money that we raise will go to help children in Northern China.
So far this year TAA has risen over 8,000RMB! This is an incredible amount. Teens Act for AIDS would like to thank the whole of the IST Community for their Support and we look forward to an exciting and productive year, next year!
